 There's this place a little away from my house called Devil's Valley by the locals. Not many people go there purely because of the name and it's history and it's a real shame because there's some beautiful things there that look awesome.

Hello from the critique club....

You actually got me interested in this Devil's valley so I looked it up online. That must be a nickname because I didn't find any references to it around Macduff Scotland.

I also noticed that this was your 1st entry. Don't let a MEH score get you down. This site is all about learning the art of photography. This is an excellent place to learn. I also must warn you. Sometimes the DPC crowd can be tough.

OK now on to the picture. There are several things that jump out at me right at 1st that usually don't do well here. The sun spots in the foreground are pretty distracting. I have found that shooting directly into the sun can be pretty difficult. Also because it is so bright in the center of the shot you have lost some of the detail of the greenery. I do like your DOF (depth of focus)I just still wish I could see more detail.

While the flares are very pretty, the back lighting of this shot hides a lot of the grasses detail
