Fine, interesting and complicated image. I very much like the choice of focus that leaves the main figure in concentrated ambiguity. The openings, staircases and disparate lighting engender a sense of spaciousness in what could otherwise be felt as claustrophobic.
Very expressive interpretation. Focusing on the environment instead of the protagonist may be unexpected but so powerfully makes the point. I'm so moved and won't forget it.
A nice surprise. Shallow DOF is used here in a refreshing and unorthodox manner. The fact that the only truly sharp detail in the scene is the word “exit” is a added delicacy.
