The cute kitty is just too dark; the background too harsh. So sorry, but a four from me. Do not be discouraged, I think this kitty would be a purrfect subject to continue to shoot and practice applying the Orton Effect. I'll bet in the right light you could get some beautiful golden radiance around him. S/he seems like a willing subject - have some fun with him.
