 Orange gelled flash in a gridded snoot combined with some play with the white balance (both in camera and with adjustment layers). And a drop of ice. Real ice. I wish i had those plastic/acrylic/glass mock ice cubes. Looking at the shot, while submitting it, i'm wondering if i should have complimented the glass with bottle. Didn't thought of it before.

Lots of the post processing effort went to fixing the banding on the gradient in the background. It's still not perfect, but it is the best i could manage. There is still some banding visible, and the grain starts to show.

The liquid is not really whiskey or any other alcoholic drink, but water with subtle amount of powdered orange drink (Cedevita), just enough to darken it a bit, but leave it transparent.

Very nice, but I would like to have seen it at the full 1200 pixels wide to get more detail in the class.

The background and the whisky makes this sharp and clear, the lighting seems just perfect, and the vinnetting is just the right shade for this photo, makes me want to have a drink. I think the execution of the liquid and the choice of the background pulls this off beautifully. Having that splash in the glass pulls it together and really makes it pop, nice work
