There is something about kitchen window views that I enjoy. Perhaps it comes from being so aware of how much that view varies through the seasons and time of day.
I find myself wondering if those are tree shadows or silhouettes, but it doesn't matter. Just an idle thought. Somehow this image conveys both chaos and calm. In my top 10.
I would have guessed you captured reflections on a frozen pond until I saw the title. Interesting and artful composition of shapes and interesting play of colors.
The window gives the illusion that the viewer is seeing beautifully scratched ice on the ground. And while distracted, scenes emerge, like the one in the bottom right hand corner, a mother and child stare into the windy woods, as the foreboding shadows of trees, both real on the glass and conjured in the mind, dance around the whole frame.
One of the best I have seen in this challenge, and I'm not sure my mind will be changed...
