 Wow, surprised this made it into the top 10. Cool!

This was done by stacking 4 images to get all of the fibers in focus. I had my 100mm macro lens on all three of my extension tubes, so depth of field was tiny.

Then some editing to really make those colors pop, since I thought that was the most interesting aspect of the image.

reminds me of a Pollock. The lighting created a nice depth.

Shot with the Hubble telescope?? Looks really cool on a big 24 inch screen. Not nice on a 6 inch cellphone screen. I'll give it an 8
