Definitely not an "eye-level" shot, as one person suggests. I was on a steep slope shooting uphill. Tilt shifted the image via perspective correcting software.
This is a 5 image stitched panorama.
The aspen grove is most likely 100 years old. It's near the end… and is transitioning to a coniferous forest. It's the natural cycle in the mountains. I would never apologize for showing the wilderness as it exists.
Looks like one that would make a good large print.
Not 100% fond of the diagonal tree branch, because in my opinion it distracts from the attractive pine trees at varying distances throughout the middle part. Not too bad, though, and it's just part of the scene.
The eye level shot the distracting pines and dead trees don't really help this image. That being said I can feel the Lik in this image and this is the best of the pano's in my opinion.
