The title intended for this was - Solitude. For some obscure reason it would not let me enter a title or any details reporting 'image out of date range' though it clearly was not.

Thank you all for your comments, they are very welcome and gratefully received.
Melethia and Neat, I wholeheartedly agree with you about titles, they are such an important part of every image. So, you can imagine my frustration when I submitted this image and for some obscure reason it just would not let me enter a title or any other details! It continually reported an error message about the image being out of the date range telling me to submit another, yet it accepted my image, which was taken on the last day of the challenge.
I had hoped the image would fare better than it has but considering it started off at 4 I shouldn't complain! There have been a lot of excellent images submitted into this challenge, a treat to experience, well done everyone and thanks again for all your comments and votes.
This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 9s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. Uber-grainy - I'm a fan of that.
2. Eclectic composition - the juxtaposition of person and structure.
3. The low light levels - like we are squinting.
4. How you've conveyed the brat size of the structure.
5. The precision of the face - you must have worked hard to pull that out.
6. The backdrop of the clouds.
Low fidelity photographs are either awful or fabulous. Yours is fabulous. It looks so alien, or surreal (one of those, possibly both) and yet it's no doubt something pretty ordinary in reality. But reality usually sucks and your transformative influence makes it instead into something uncommon and fascinating. 8 & thank you.
There are some really amazing pictures in this challenge and this is one of them. The centered massive structure in front of the centered small figure is brilliant. Tones and grain seem perfect. 10
I really love this photograph. Very artistic and well executed. Love the added grain and while dark you can make out the person and their face really pops from the image. I only have one nit picky thing and that is the blob on the left along the top of the white / bottom of black line over in the sky, I would have used the healing brush to make it go away (is just a little distracting). One other problem (but it is not your fault) is with the bigger size vertical photographs have a serious problem as I (not sure about others) can not see the entire image without scrolling.
I swear, when this opened on my computer the figure in the front was not there then suddenly appeared. I have no idea how you did that. (And I do realize it didn't actually do that, it just appeared that way.) I must also add, however, my pet-peeve "please put in an actual title of some kind" mini-sorta-rant. It does your work a disservice to leave the image number as the title, unless of course your actual title is IMG_3510, but I suspect not.
