Challenge: C2K -- DPC's 2,000th Challenge (Advanced Editing VII) Location:* Monument Valley, UT/AZ Date: Jan 15, 2010 Aperture: 5.6 ISO: 400 Shutter: 901 Date Uploaded: Oct 24, 2014 Add photograph to your favorites Add photographer to your favorites	Shot with 40D and 17-40L. Editing: RAW convert at -1 exposure or so, various curves, noise reduction and unsharp mask layers, then channel mixer, gradient map, dodge/burn and levels. Cloned out a few car headlights down in the valley. This was a similar shot in color:

Good foreground, the two diagonals add interest, a minor point I would have cloned out the small trail just above the horizon.

I hope to go here someday and witness a scene like this. The subject is magnificent, but I don't know what's wrong with this processing. The blacks are oddly flattened or something.
