I like the softness in contrast to the hard, diagonal shapes of the birds-of-paradise, but I think a different crop or positioning could have improved the composition. Also, there seems to be some kind of pattern overlay in the out-of-focus areas that I'm not fond of.
Such a subtle image and processed just as the man himself would have done. Nice low contrast with some lovely duotone colors showing through the shadows and highlights.
Birds of paradise! When we were little, my aunt had a bunch of these growing in her yard and I and a bunch of other kids would pick them and pretend they were powerful wands. She never did figure out who kept picking them. But I digress... This is beautifully understated. I love that lone fallen stalk in contrast with the others. 7
