Yay, I get to critique a fellow Canuck...but also a PB and an HM finish...no pressure ;-) And as also am very familiar with maples and tap some of mine for sirop d'erable each spring, I appreciate the backlit red maple leaves.
Nice composition and lighting (though be careful, some may have thought this a tiny bit underexposed and voted accordingly). Lovely rich saturated colours, especially on the leaves, nice sharp detail on the droplets and the cool green/blue tones of the background which complement the scarlet perfectly...hard to pick holes in this one!

Great composition and I like the bit of light shining through the leaves. Also very sharp focus throughout. This would look great printed and framed I think.
