Surrealism is something I felt the need to study a bit for this challenge as I felt unfamiliar with the concept. After reading about surrealist art, I realized that the fantasy/whimsy images I usually create are not far off from surreal! :)
My first thoughts of surrealism go straight to Dali and while I love his work I don't feel I necessarily see the world that way, so I struggled with a concept at first.
I have loved reading everyone's thoughts and opinions on this one!!

Congratulations Samantha! What a beautiful creations, certainly what of your most splendid ones. I love your use of DoF to make the main characters pop out of the set. A brilliant image, if I dare to say so ;)
Having trouble understanding the story here. If the people have light bulb heads what are the giant light bulbs laying around them? Are they giant severed heads?

Great story, and to me this is a perfect image telling that story. I like the desolate looking ground and trees, and the placement of the light bulbs I think is great. 10 from me.
That's a lot of "severed heads" scattered around; even one falling from the sky... Absolutely cool ad surrealistic concept. You are either Gyaban or as good as him in this niche:-)

If I had to make a tiny suggestion it would be a cooler skin tone (more deathly) and a little orange glow along the top of the dress near the lit bulb.
