The last thing I wanted to do was a self portrait on this!!! My daughter was home for 6 days between summer job and college, and I thought it would be awesome doing a surreal shot of her.
Somehow, 6 days isn't enough time. I got two challenges in before she was gone, at least!!
I had this idea for a little while, but the veil and crown were last minute additions, since my short hair isn't all that interesting from the back. This is my actual wedding headpiece and veil -- used over 25 years ago now. :)
My daughter pointed out that the eyes on the mask (in the mirror) looks too plastic. Shadows or blurring the lines or something may have helped that. I put the white mask on the table and used that to get the general shape of my "face" mask on the table. Again, something doesn't look quite right with that. But I'm not sure how to have fixed it.
Thanks for all the comments! I've been doing a lot of knitting recently, and less DPC. So I'll have nothing in voting tomorrow, and I don't have anything for free study. I need to figure out how to get the interest back.

This one freaked me out a bit.. LOL! the lighting and then seeing the face in the mirror then on the table.. just amazing how the process worked on this and as if it was actually real.
