I was not going to enter the Baby Animals challenge. All good pictures of our dog when he was a puppy (with no people in the shot) have already been entered. The baby tiger one I had taken 10 years ago - I couldn't find the exif original.
On the last day of the challenge, I was lying in bed at 7:30 in the morning and heard peeps outside the window. I leaped out of bed, looked out the window, and saw baby ducks and their mom walking between the houses. Got dressed so fast, grabbed my camera, and dashed out of the house. I got lucky and was able to get 5 shots at 2 feet away from them before Mama insisted they cross the street and behind other people's houses to get away.
It won't win awards but I love how this one shows water drops on their backs.
