WOW! Thank you everyone! I was on holidays in St. Andrews New Brunswick when Hurricane Arthur ripped through the area. It was devistating to the area. St. Andrews is on the Bay of Fundy and the tides can reach over 30 feet. Everything lined up poorly for this small town as Arthur hit. The tides were coming in and the winds where in the opposite direction of the incoming seas. The last I heard 9 boats broke away from their moorings. Some smashing on shore and one lost at sea. What was so incredible is how the town pulled together to help each other. My daughter and I left the next morning at ten and most trees and damage were already taken care of. The town was also hosting a 1/2 iron man race with over 600 visitors in town to participate and they pulled it off!
Six trees feel at the B&B we were staying at with one hitting the window of our room. It was quite the trip. Scary and exciting all at once.
Thanks again!
