I painted the boards in post - thinking only about the fact that it's legal to change the color of something in the image and being very careful to retain the grain, knots and other wood features. However, I realized within hours of roll-over that the painting I had done effectively created new features that didn't already exist in my original capture, so I requested that SC disqualify my entry. They took a look and agreed with me, so they did.
