Hmm... what we seem to have here is a failure to communicate. Interesting as far as the sandballs go, but I'm afraid I don't get it communication-wise..
Unless these crabs are using little semiphore flags that I can't see.....nevermind.
Seems to me your subjects are out of focus. Composition could be improved by moving the crabs off center. Nice tonal range. Overall, it just doesn't say much to me.
Looks slightly out of focus or all the neutral colors are making it seem that way. I can see the crabs if I look closely but they just blend into the background too much to make an impact on me.
How do people or groups of people use crabs to communicate?
Not marking you down because I don't get it, just wondering what I'm missing. I'll come back after the voting to see .
1. As a picture of two crabs, more impact could be achieved by sharpening up the focus and cropping to the right or left to move the focus of attention off centre. Impact is also lost because the crabs are similar in shape colour and size to the background.
2. For me this also strays a little too much off the theme of communication.
I make a point of commenting on my lowest scores: this image lacks both contrasts and angular perspective...and I fail to see the liason with the theme of the challenge
