Definitely calls attention to the mans lips which I like. I do think that his nose is a bit to high key and tries to take over the center of attention. I'd also like to see a bit more of the eye to the left of the picture. Still I think this merits a 7 on interest and creativity.
I like the dramatic lighting and the funny expression. If you want me to focus on the lips, however, having the subject play with his hair this way is quite distracting.
The lighting seems a bit harsh, which I realize may be intentional, but it doesn't really accentuate the feature you are trying to show imo. The composition is interesting though.
