This is the carousel in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. I took the shot through a window of its enclosure, which resulted in the reflections of the trees, bench, etc.
My ulterior motive in suggesting to my wife that we wander about this area was the knowledge that at the farmers' market there that day was a stand with killer crumb cake.
Here opens the gate of the Dark Side....bwa-ha-ha-ha.

This is beautiful on several levels, not least being the admirable restraint of the artist. Some things – actually most things – are more eloquent for restraint in their expression, so I'll just shut up and say thank you.
I LOVE this - it is poignant and a touch ghostly, like these hand crafted steeds are just waiting for the turn of the season to come back to life while they are imprisoned and one can just see their outlines through the bars. The bench overlay works well too as a reminder of the changes past and coming. Bravo, brilliantly crafted!
