This was my choice for No. 1. The squiggle at the left is a tad distracting, but I can also interpret it as a leading line directing my eye to the light in the distance. I love the red squiggle in the distance. It's a red salamander about to do something mysterious.... Would be interesting to see this shot in b&W.

Beautifully done. I looked several times and tried to trim the wiggle on the left side that detracts the eye too much but all in all, a good shot and an excellent title.
I keep coming back to it.
