I did a different version of this. The color is richer and there is less a question of focus or DOF. I like the color better but there is something about the DOF at the top of the first leading the eye down to the point that I think I miss in the new version.

Great colors and composition. The black background really zings with these colors. Softness at the top actually helps draw the end down to the point. Great title.

Wonderful composition. The black background really makes the picture pop. A little more DOF may have been nice but that is often very difficult with macro shots.
