These fish on ice retain the metallic glimmering of a school of fish flashing about synchronously in the ocean. They have the rhythm of a chorus line here, and our attention is especially held by the startlingly vivid eyes. The rhythms of life are also being invoked. It's a strong image that holds one's gaze.
