White Tower is the oldest part of the fortress built for William the Conqueror, though he never actually got to live in it... The Ravens are kept inside the Tower due to a myth that says if the Ravens were to fly away, the tower would crumble. So the authorities cheated, they've continually clipped the wings of these birds for years. They enormous and beautiful.
