We were visiting the shops along 'The Avenue' in the Hampden section of Baltimore a few days before Christmas. This nice older gentleman and his little Pug in the vintage bookshop were irresistible. I'm not usually one to ask to take people's pictures, but I got up the nerve this time, and I'm quite happy with the result.
Thanks to nam for helping me chose which photo to use, and pointing out some much needed edits to make it better.
Also, it's my first entry with my new 15-85 lens.

Not voting. I hope this is doing well for you - I do love the character written on both the dog's and the shopkeeper's faces as well as the jumble that surrounds them. A very nice environment portrait.
this seems like a snapshot, but it's more being in the exact right place at the exact right time with your camera in your hand and turned on--way to go!
Terrific casual-looking portrait of a man in his personal environment. The tenderness in his relationship with the pug is so evident, and they even resemble each other.
