Late adding comments on this image; time seemed to slip away and the turnover surprised me.
This is Lake Alice on the University of Florida campus. Alligators gather on the banks of the island on the left to sun. This was taken just after a clearing of rain all day, just before sunset. The white on the bank are Ibis. There is an alligator in the water but too small to see at this distance.

Lovely image Maryanne , I have to say I passed by this quickly on my first viewing, but now I have a new computer , I can see the clarity of it more, and it's a really stunning image, well done!

Beautiful scene and lovely light. There is a spot on our local lake which looks rather like this (in the right season, not now) but I have never captured it so beautifully. Top 5
My eyes go directly to the clouds and the reflection. Not a bad thing cause that just means your beautiful choice of the tree is complete to make a wonderful image!
