I think you needed a little faster shutter speed, or maybe the AF grabbed the feeder instead of the bird.

Sweet bird... To be honest, the composition doesn't do it for me, though technically I believe it to be "right". Probabaly just me! Good luck.

Yow - I dont know what you've done around that edge of that bird but it looks VERY post-processed. My guess would be over sharpening or perhaps you took something out of the background. Either way it distracts from an otherwise well laid out picture. 5 - floyd

A little sharper focus with a shallower DOF would have helped this shot imo. The background is somewhat distracting.
