Richard this is BEAUTIFUL... I have to tell you my husband is NOT a photographer, but back in the 60's he took a pix a lot like this (pure dumb luck) it's hanging right over this desk, a little yellow from the years!

Very nicely done, I love all the shadows on the ground, if you crop it lower they stand out even more, still the image is great anyway.

Congratulations on a lovely image and a great finish. The strong shadows, besides being lovely in their own right, also serve to keep one's attention on the foreground and the four or five trees there, and that helps the other trees serve as a nice backdrop instead of "competing" for one's attention.

I know from experience that a scene like this is hard to shoot without blowing the highlights or blocking the shadows. Nicely done.
