beautiful waves of light on the waves of water. The stick protruding is our visual anchor. By being there, it makes everything else "negative space"

To my eye, this just seems a little too "busy" to really qualify as "negative space". Otherwise, and interesting shot.

Details:
Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.
Interesting. I think this might meet the challenge as well, if not better than, anything else I've seen so far, and does it in an unexpected way.
