I like the rustiness of the subject, however, the brightness of the sky is a little overwhelming.

The trees are slightly distracting, interesting subject, if I may suggest a slightly different angle to avoid the trees, and a fill in flash could allow less exposure for the sky. portrait format may help. 5

Good subject for the challenge, but the angle doesn't seem to show it to it's best effect.

Nice idea, but the composition could have been better. The fence post is really competeing for attention. Also, I think it would have been more interesting if the joint was in the upper left third.

sky is a bit blown out. i would have used a tighter crop to keep attention on the part, the background is distracting. 5
