A close up of a skein of wool, with a bamboo knitting needle just protruding in the right place. Shot with a 100mm macro lens, and lit with a 1000W Starlite and a medium sized soft box. Cropped square, I changed the hue, and applied a strong unsharp mask to make the small fibers punch out.

Thanks! It's a bit of a visual pun, which people can interpret differently, so not surprising it did not score higher. Still it's my best yet (of 3 entries). And since my last got 3%, I can't complain.
This could work as an advertisement - like in a fabric or craft shop. Good idea and nice, clear shot. Probably a matte of preference, but I'd be interested in seeing this with more saturated colors or more contrast.
