The shallow depth of focus on this image really makes it 'pop' Is it all down to a wide open lens, or having you been using your PS skills?
I like the way my attention is caught by the sharp focus which is quite agressive yet the colours you have chosen for this image are quite soft and almost warm. It gives the photograph a very different feel to the other one of barbed wire in your portfolio. The blue of that photograph gives a much colder feel. Perhaps the warmth of this image is enhanced by the head of grass which implies more of an autumnal setting and the golden colours of that season. |
