Setup in my living room with the cubes on a sheet of white paper, lighting from the window and from on-camera flash bounced at the ceiling. Post-processing just a little adjusting of white balance, and sharpening using unsharp mask.
Actually, once you know how to solve the 3x3x3 Rubic's cube, the 2x2x2 IS easy. The 5x5x5 is a bit more tricky, took me 3 months to solve it. Once I also encountered a 4x4x4, I'm still kicking myself for not having bought it!

Certainly great mind teasers. I'll stay with the simple complex one. lol Bumping up because this image, which I would have brought closer, gave you the chance to work with basic strong colors. Very well captured. Bumping up.
damn.... I can do a normal rubiks cube... but the 5 row one looks insane!!!!!!! as for the photo.... not sure what it is, but it's not very "grabbing"... then again I don;t have a suggestion to help improve... so what to I know
I remember having all of those cubes at one time. I even had one with 12 faces. The photo seems to be lacking something in the composition, although I can't figure out what it is.
