well done picking out a composition from this instrument. The darkness only helps to make the photo lovelier and more evocative (by being more open to interpretation).

"Take a photo in which the background is black and the subject is predominately a black as well."
I feel that this does not meet the criteria based on the wording. The subject should have been black before any changes.
