Taken from my front lawn, view over the valley. There is a 5 meter drop t a street right in front of where I stood. The streetlamp shone on the tree in my garden. My wife planted so many trees that I could not get a shot from anywhere without the trees being part of the shot.It is a 30 second exposure, but I held my hand in front of the bottom third of the lens for the last 20 seconds, to make the bottom third much darker than it would have been.

I'm pretty curious to find out what we are seeing here. The moon wasn't bright enough to do this, al least not without a super long exposure, which this doesn't seem to have.
