It was such a beautiful morning. I was all caught up, in between projects, so I sat on my porch with my coffee & my dogs, and just marveled at my hummingbirds. Every time I watch them, I am in awe of the delicate artistry with which God created these tiny little art pieces! I actually said a prayer as I chased them with my camera, that he would help me capture one that did justice to his handiwork. With the limitations He had working thru my skill level, this was the best we could come up with. :) But I'm proud of it, and I will always remember my prayer and the realization that God really is in ALL things with me :) And at the present moment, God's art piece is receiving the highest score I've ever received. I love that!!

After challenge: Woo Hooo!!!!! I am HAPPY!!!! And I have to say... my favorite comment was Littlemav's. After pouring my heart out about God's little masterpiece, she writes, "Little demon birds" I laughed so hard... and it IS true too! So, Katie, thanks for the chuckle! :)

A truly outstanding image Sandy! The pose of the hummingbird, the bokeh, the lighting are all wonderful. Congrats on the most definitely deserved blue!
Stunning light both on the hummer and in the bokeh background and I love the "pose" - like he's winging his way to heaven. Congratulations on the blue for this beautiful capture, Sandy.
A beautiful image and I agree with your comments. I also love sitting on my deck with a cup of coffee watching my birds, and my squirrels, and my rabbits - all of whom enjoy feeding together.
WOOO HOOOOO Sandy!!!!! Congrats on the blue. What a stunning capture. I love that you resisted the temptation to edit it to death, and let the natural beauty shine through.
