Great-horned owl, male, π˜‰π˜Άπ˜£π˜° 𝘷π˜ͺ𝘳𝘨π˜ͺ𝘯π˜ͺ𝘒𝘯𝘢𝘴. From, 03/11/13, Monday. Canon 5D, Canon EF 400 f/5.6L USM, tripod, f/5.6, 1/250s, ISO 400. This is the male because the female has been incubating the eggs in a nest nearby since 03/05/13. This guy and I are on a first name basis.

I think Shez would like this owl.

Thank you for your wonderful entry into the Shez Tribute. Shez would love to have seen it and I'm sure she feels your love.

It blends so well with its environment. Shez would have congratulated on a shot well taken.

Lovely. I like the way he blends into the tree trunk. Very nice detail in the feathers.
