Impromptu shot taken at a local youth soccer game. Angle from behind the goal makes the child farthest away look much smaller than the huge goalie in the foreground. Fast shutter speed gives the ball the appearance of being suspended in the air.
Cropped some of the other players out which were chasing from the right and made a levels adjustment to darken the trees in the background and make the shooter stand out.
Is he going to shoot to the left or right? (He made this shot by the way!)

david is a little too out of focus. with a longer lense, you could get this shot without the net being so much of a distraction. the action looks good, but the focus takes away from the image.
Needs just a tad more DOF. Seems to have really captured the moment and the contrasts between the stark white goal netting and the absolute black sky behind is great. Would have rated it higher except for the DOF point. Congratulations. Good luck with the challenge.
