There's always an additional element in his shots and the grass was it in this instance. 7 but 8 if the blacks were richer.

This makes me smile! Love the story in thirds, too - the trees, the house and powerlines in the valley, and the wistful young man taking it all in. Really nice!

composition is good but what makes this stand out from similar photos is that even line of grass along the bottom. well done.

I really like the mood of this, and the sense of wonderment from him in an obviously abandoned place. But the balance, composition and crop are off for me. I also feel the lighting is just a bit flat, especially for a "Jagar" image. To my eye it needs more contrast.
