This one was a tough one to choose as I am not particularly religious, but it came together nicely. :)
I had to use a regular painter's ladder that happened to be two colors, so I had to make it look like a solid piece. The dress and wings are made from about 6 different photos of some Chiffon material I had laying around. I managed to wrap myself in a "toga" of sorts and used my remote on a 2sec timer as I flung the material in the air. I had positioned my flash (also triggered by the remote) on top of the ladder for the lighting from above and positioned myself onto the first rung. I managed to get REALLY lucky that one shot looked exactly like an "angel wing"!
Jason's costume came from a friend who went as a "Roman Gladiator" a few Halloween parties ago, so we had a tunic and the shin guards. The only thing drawn in this photo is the bottom portion of his shoe, and strap on his foot.
The clouds are all roughly different areas of the same photo with different blending modes and color overlays.
My hair was done on a separate background and placed in, in processing.
Thanks for all the votes and comments. :)

I just love your image Samantha. The color scheme is beautiful and immediately grasps the eye. The lighting and aerial dress add an wonderful poetic feeling to it. Jason is extremely convincing with his sandals ;-) One of your best in my opinion!
Pretty good except for the wings on the angel (they don't have them). Would have worked better with multiple angels as well, but still your artwork is wonderful.
Masterfully done. Love the interaction of light and dark (but not too dark). Love the "wind" in angel's hair & dress. Interesting that while tradition has angels as women, the angels in the Bible all appeared to be men. Great job on Jacob's costume too - even though his whites look a bit too white, it is potential allegory for righteous, so it gets a pass regardless. Nice shot.
