The title refers to only two nights of our ten day trip to Maui when we could actually see the sun set. All other days there was so much cloud cover, no sun could be seen. It rained 7 out of 10 days. Not a really bad trip, cause you can't complain if you are vacationing in Maui in March. We did have one hell of a boat ride back one day from what was supposed to be a day long snorkeling trip. We made it safely to one location to snorkel, and after we got back into the boat, one of the outboard engines decided to act up. The rest of the day was aborted and we could only limp along on one engine at an idle back to shore. What only took about 20 minutes with two engines at full speed, now was predicted to take up to 4 hours! On top of that, the wind started blowing and we were riding 8 foot seas back to shore! 3 people on the boat started to panic and had to be consoled. I am not a good swimmer so I was freaking out a little too since I have not had that much time on any type of boat. Some of the waves were so high we could not see past them and when we reached the bottom we felt like the wave would crash down on us and sink us. We were in a very sturdy boat, but it still is very unnerving to be at the whim of the ocean. We made it back to shore in 3 hours and my back was stiff and aching from all the muscle tension from riding the waves. What a trip. The tour company refunded all our money. Not sure I want to do anything like that again!
