That's fascinating. I've never thought about whether or not bees drink!

How unusual is this? I've never seen a bee drinking water. Seems so incongruous. Well composed shot.

Your subject is right up my alley :) Wonderful shot and glimpse into a bee's busy day. Good compo and the yellow stands out from the grey granite. Seems a tad grainy on the bees? Over cropped?

I love that this isn't your typical bee and flower shot. The rocks are beautiful and the perspective on the bees is unique and well spotted.

I never thought that insects needed drinking, until one day I saved a beetle by giving it just a single drop of water after which he quickly recovered and flew away. I was most amazed to see that happen! The bees in the shot have fund their watering hole, clearly.

I think it is very neat that you caught them at a watering hole. I don't believe I have ever seen a bee drink water before.

Wow that is amazing you caught them drinking instead of busy buzzying around some flowers. Wonderful job. Love it.

I think the bees do drink in hot weather, here in South Africa they drink from the bird bath. Beautiful textur, color and focus.

Great picture. Texture and colours of the rocks are beautiful. And drinking bees is not a common sight, so thanks for sharing with us.

WOW! I can only imagine what it took to get this shot--well seen. There is something curiously satisfying about the colors in this. It's what holds my interest.

What a very unique shot ..I have never seen bees getting a drink down on the ground like that . Lovely texture in the rocks and I like how one can see where the water is seeping through. A very interesting shot.
