Well this all came about from the Magritte painting "The Son of Man," one of my favorite paintings. I starting thinking about what faceless could mean and came about the idea of a lack of definition of our actual selves, a lack of individuality in this technological world. What with facebook and iPhones and iPads and the endless methods of individualizing ourselves and making ourselves special... unfortunately 99.99% of the time we're just falling into that "facelessness" social construct where we're all just a number in the system. The omnipresence of iPhones, a once rare and defining symbol, has become the epitome of "selling out to the man;" I tried to demonstrate that with my image. While, technically speaking, there are many things that could be done better, I hope some people get the connection and at the least makes one think a bit.
