Mostly the type of flower is a mystery! Tried to find out what it was with various searches and flower/weed-savvy friends and came up blank. It just appeared in my yard this Spring, and I was madly in love with it. So very delicate. Unfortunately it was inside the fenced area which means it will be trampled to death this year by my little herd of Wolfhounds unless I can either protect it or successfully transplant it outside of the fence.

THANK YOU, RICHARD :-) Don't know why this didn't come up on any of my usual wildflower sites (just searched again on the Latin name and there are other campanulas, but not this one.). I'm pleased to see it prefers nutrient-poor soil. Totally explains why it likes my yard LOL!
