nice dressed stone work, a proper old skill sadly no longer seen much anymore, love the toning on this old door

I really like the tones in this image. Great combination of wood and stone textures.

The clarity and shadows give this some kind of 3D feel. Beautiful capture.

Fantastic shadows! I love old doors, though they're really hard to find unless I go to Philly.

I would have cropped a smidge more off the top, just enough to get rid of the slight appearance of the next feature.
Otherwise I really like this photo.
edit - Sorry, I see if you do that crop, the trim on the door might be in a awkward spot. That's a tough call on that one. Message edited by author 2012-12-06 09:36:30.

Superb light/shadow play. Love the textures of the stone and wood. Has a lot of elements of interest to enjoy exploring. My rational sequential personality loves the precision of the squared vertical and horizontal lines. This is meaningful perspective to me and fine photography.

I really enjoy the shapes, lines, and textures of this kind of detail shot. The diagonal of hinge, mailbox, and handle is great and enhanced by the light catching the handle and top of the hinge.
