I think I know what you saw and what you were trying to capture here. I see highlights in grass often and still, it remains illusive. The abstract feel is awesome though. Life beginning again.
I think the idea is nice, but I find the lit spots a bit distracting. It's a pity only a very small part of the leaf is in focus, might have helped to make the image more attractive I think.
