Photographer’s Notes I always have a camera with me; whether it’s my lowly iPhone, or a point-and-shoot, or a DSLR; you never know when a photo will grab you by the balls and demand to be taken. In this case, a point-and-shoot from my hotel room in Denver while there for a conference. Same hotel as in my Headlines entry in case you’re interested.
I started out with a vague notion of submitting something for the Origins expert editing challenge but no real idea of where I was going with the image or how I was going to get there. Sometimes creative play can be fun and it’s possible to learn things while you’re at it.
The ‘Origin’ of this was a modest 3-megabyte file and it grew to 678 megabytes before the end with lots of layers and smart objects and stuff. Took about 6 hours to work it out.
