I got to this spot very early with not much light, but was really fired up to get in the water and shoot. So I had to shoot with a slower shutter speed and ended up really liking the results

A wonderful capture - beautiful shutter speed. Like MaryO I had mixed feelings about the horizon line. Upon reflection, I think I agree with her that the tilt increases the sensation of being pulled in to the wave and image. Congratulations on the top ten.
Sort of thought the horizon should be level, but then this feels more like I got caught up in the wave! Hope no equipment was harmed in the making of this image.
great colors and light, the veil like nature of the wave is well captured here, the color transitions really capture my attention and the detail at the end of the barrel is nice and gives a focal point you get drawn into
I just commented on this on 1x, didn't know you were on here, you forgot to change your title. It does lose effect with the 300 limit, much nicer on 1x, still all the best.
