On coming dead last:
Looking at the three absolute cliché’s that took the three ribbons, I actually don't feel so bad. I really like my picture and consider it a 10 regardless. The focus is perfect. (Funny how no one mentioned that) The colors are bold and rich; the garish light on her hand accurately portrays the moment. Most of all I can say without fear of being shot down, that this was an original idea. I didn't get this out of a photography manual, there weren't eight other people doing basically the same thing, you don't see it repeated everywhere. Who knows maybe one day you will.
Am I being arrogant, ungracious? Probably. But it's between that and caving into to someone else's vision, and I won’t do that. |
