Well, ok. I have done something similar to this by using one side of a pair of binoculars and a P&S cam to make a telephoto. It works better than expected.

So cool! Funny thing is I sort of idly wondered about trying something with my husband's rifle just last night - train of thought triggered by spotting a cinema add for the latest James Bond offering. I wouldn't have thought of this, though. I love it.
