The majority of pixels in this image are sky and water or forested mountainside. The end of the valley is the subject which is surrounded by negative space. Some voters are splitting hairs when they suggest negative space must be without gradient or detail. But, that's the nature of the competition here... knock down images that don't meet your personal criteria for the challenge, regardless of the caliber of the image. Arguably, this image is mostly negative space.

This is actually a classic use of positive vs negative space. The sky and the reflected sky are negative, the landscape and its reflection are positive. For those who don't understand, this is the cliched example of how that works:
I'm sorry to see so many people not picking up on this, but so it goes. The image itself is perhaps not your most interesting, so that didn't help. Nevertheless, I like it :-)
i gave this a 5, where as it could be argued that the sky and mirror'd lake as in the reflection and the shape of the lake matching the hills are negative space they dont scream negative at me. i had this as an option a
and didnt go with it for the same fear, albeit my entry that i thought was matching this challenge is only doing 5.1
for me the negative space wants to be in a continuous block, like this image from google //www.craigfergusonimages.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/CFImages_Hualien_F0509-8950.jpg
